The Twist Out

First Shampoo and Condition your hair with you favorite shampoo. When I wear a twist out I normally shampoo and condition with Mizani MoisturFusion set. Once the cleansing process is complete section the hair into for sections for detangling. Starting from your ends working towards the scalp with a wide tooth comb began to comb out each section. Once that's complete you can either blow dry your hair before twist or you can twist it while wet. If twisting while wet you would want to use a gel based product. Something like Jamaican Lime & Mango Locking Gelundefinedand if you are twisting while dry it would be best to use a cream based  product like ceXpress Products Kai Butter for Hair. Both very good products and really inexpensive. Begin by section the hair and grabbing a section about two inches wide and one inch long. (Inches can be determined by the lines in your finger. From the tip of your finger to the first line equals one inch) Once you section that part separate that in half and twist back and forth. Then move to the next section.

Once you have completely finished with your twist wrap your hair in satin scarf and the next day untwist each twist and style. Here's some pictures of my twist out and some others.

For twist out maintenance you can do one or two things. I'm one to retwist my hair every night and untwist in the morning. But you can also sleep in your satin cap and in the morning mist a little water on your hair and then add the hair butter and refluff!! I will come back alive right before your eyes!!
